Diana Candelejo was born in Saint Cloud, France. She is a daughter of Ecuadorian parents and raised in Newark Ironbound, New Jersey. After graduating from Newark's Arts High School in 2008 as an Art major, she received her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics and Studio Art from Drew University in 2012. In 2016, she completed her Masters of Public Administration (MPA) from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Her interest in socio-economic issues have inspired much of her "political art". Her artwork not only explores social injustice but also embraces the beauty of humanity coming together to fight for equality and freedom.



Diana Candelejo is an Ironbound resident and local Newark artist who splits her time between painting and promoting economic development in her community. She is an independent artist and available for custom quotes.
