I'm trilingual. Born in France and migrated to the USA when I was 4, but my parents are of Ecuadorian descent, so I HAD to learn Spanish at home. Continued to take French for many years so I would not forget my first language!
I studied Renaissance art in Florence, Italy for 4 months. Talk about learning how to draw the naked human body for HOURS.
I traveled to 13 countries around the world, largely thanks to academic scholarships.
Went to Arts High School in Newark, NJ and was a Fine Art major.
First in my family to graduate college and earn a Master's degree. (Also the first in my family to accumulate A LOT of student loan debt, thanks Sallie Mae)
One of my favorite places as a kid was the Newark Public Library. Spent a lot of time doing those coloring/art/crafts competitions as a kid. Tell me you did those??
Favorite painter(s)include: Frida Kahlo
Favorite sculptor: Gian Lorenzo Bernini
Favorite food is a blend of Cuban and Peruvian food... but I must say Ecuadorian food is up there! I know what I know.
I make some mean empanadas de carne, just saying. :)
